WORKING MEETING With the representatives from the line ministries for financial incentives for Inter Municipal Cooperation. The Ministry for Local Self Government and UNDP realize, in partnership, an integrated programme “Inter Municipal Cooperation for better service provision and EU accession“ which aspires to establish effective and sustainable systems for support of the Inter Municipal Cooperation in the country, which would be adapted and broadened by the Government through their own policies and resources. Within the framework of the fourth component – facilitating an ongoing policy dialogue between central government, municipalities, donor communities, financial institutions and private sector for coordinated strategic approach and national policies in support of Inter Municipal Cooperation, UNDP programme team prepared an overview of international practices for incentives for support of the Inter Municipal Cooperation. Motivated from international experience, a Workshop was held on possible incentives relevant for our country with the active participation of several state secretaries and representatives of the line Ministries for Local Self-government, Labor and Social Policy, Transport and Communications, Environment Protection and Spatial Planning as well as from the Ministry of Finance, providing comments and different ideas. The Workshop was held in Hotel Best Western in The results of the Workshop will be used for further elaboration of the secondary acts necessary for the successful implementation of the Law on Inter-municipal Cooperation
