In the framework of the programme “IMC for better service provision and EU accession”, on September 10^th 2009, UNDP will announce call for grants for Inter-Municipal Cooperation, executed in partnership between UNDP and Ministry of Local Self-Government. The grants for Inter-Municipal Cooperation that will be awarded on the bases of evaluation are aimed for all Municipalities in the Republic of Macedonia that will submit Request for grants in the area of inter-municipal cooperation in amount of 1,240,000 denars (20.000 EUR)

In order to enable quality in development of Inter-Municipal Cooperation projects and successful Inter-Municipal grant applications , UNDP is organizing four Inter-Municipal Cooperation working sessions for all municipalities that will take place on 10, 11 and 12 of September, 2009 in Skopje and Mavrovo, and on 16, 17 and 18 of September, 2009 in Strumica and Bitola. Meetings will be focused on the concept of Inter-Municipal Cooperation in general, international and domestic experiences in the Inter-Municipal Cooperation and principles for Inter Municipal Cooperation grant applications. Beside the Mayors and Presidents of the Counsels, two days training will also be provided for the civil servants responsible for preparation of Inter-Municipal Cooperation projects aiming for increasing of their capacities for preparations and filling up of the Request for grants fo r Inter-Municipal Cooperation.
